Mobilisation and sensitization farmers and communities to form and register wellstructured, inclusive and effectively governed farmer groups at the village level, through providing standardised templates, guiding documentation, checklists and other support required for the registration of farmer groups.
Promote capacity building and training programs to empower youth, women, retirees and persons with disabilities with knowledge, skills and information needed to adopt climate-smart agriculture, engage in value addition and participate effectively in agribusiness development across the entire agricultural value chain.
Promote village-level manure collection and management initiatives by supporting and training livestock owners to effectively collect, process, and store animal waste, thereby reducing farmers' over-reliance on costly chemical fertilizers, while improving soil health, productivity and long-term sustainability
Establish a community climate-smart agriculture resource centre at the village level as a hub for research, training, innovation, and knowledge sharing, where farmers and communities can access knowledge, skills and information needed for adopting climate-smart agriculture, including practical on-farm demonstrations. The resource centre will support and empower youth, women, retirees, persons with disabilities, through training in climate-smart agricultural practises, financial and digital literacy, practical demonstrations, value addition, and agribusiness development.
